Fantasy Premier League Tips 2014: 15 Best Point-Per-Pound Buys

9. Peter Crouch (Stoke City) £6.0m

Last Season's Points Total: 114. Strikers are the most expensive of fantasy league players, for obvious reasons. The top strikers - your Wayne Rooneys, Robin van Persies, Sergio Agueros and Daniel Sturridges - will set you back an eight figure sum. So, to see Peter Crouch - a £6 million player - amongst the top twelve strikers last season shows that he's vastly undervalued. Crouchy will deliver every season. Sure, he's not as prolific as he once was - and he's hardly playing on the biggest stage at Stoke City's Britannia Stadium - but if you're looking for a cheap strike partner for the player you've wasted most of your budget on, you could go a lot worse than recruiting the lanky former England man. He scored seven goals and bagged six assists last season and if he can equal that this year it will be £6 million well spent.
