Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Robert Guerrero Negotiations Intensify?

dlos The days are numbered for when we find out who "Money" Mayweather will be fighting in this next bout. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has continued to lead us on time and time again over who he will be fighting on May 4. There have been speculations that he will be fighting undefeated Mexican superstar and WBC Light Middleweight Champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Mayweather has also stated on Twitter that he was close to securing a unification fight with IBF Light Welterweight Champion Devon Alexander. According to sources close to Mayweather, however, it is neither of those two who will be sharing the ring with the pound for pound king. The leading candidate at this moment seems to be none other than interim WBC Welterweight Champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero. Guerrero has been calling out Floyd for the past few years, and it appears that it has finally gone through to him. Sources claim that the fight is only a few days away from being announced. This will be the biggest fight in Guerrero's career, and one that could quite possibly put him on the map to true super-stardom. Guerrero is coming off a convincing victory against former 2 time welterweight champion Andre Berto. Mayweather, however, is coming off a slightly less impressive showing against Miguel Cotto last year. Although, clearly winning the fight, Mayweather struggled more than experts thought he should have. Floyd also spent two months in prison last year and is also up there in age. More details on Mayweather's next bout will be revealed as the fight unfolds.
