Back to Liverpool once more, however this time it's not an arrival but a departure.

Neymar left Barcelona in 2017 for Paris Saint-Germain and the move had a ripple effect throughout the football world. Barcelona panicked following the Brazilian's move and thus tried to purchase Liverpool's talisman, Philippe Coutinho. Jurgen Klopp held firm and refused to sell, so Barcelona turned their attention to Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele. Five months later Barcelona again knocked on Klopp's door, and this time he acquiesced.

Coutinho joined Barcelona for £105 million, a massive fee that saw Liverpool make a £97 million profit on the man they purchased from Inter Milan in 2013. Coutinho is an incredible player and he is still only 26 years old, meaning he will certainly repay that fee to Barcelona over the next 6-7 years. A hefty fee but a great investment.
