Match Preview
Reigning Spanish Champions Real Madrid head to Istanbul tonight for the second leg of their Champions League quarter final tie with Galatasaray. Jose Mourinho's men hold a commanding 3-0 advantage over their opponents and are favourites to progress to the semi-finals of the competition. Galatasaray have the worst scoring and defensive record of any of the sides remaining in this season's tournament, and have also been shorn of star striker Burak Yilmaz through suspension, which makes Madrid the clear favourites tonight. Though
Los Blancos have abandoned all hope of retaining their La Liga title, they have set their cross-heirs firmly on
La Decima - a record tenth European crown. They went one step closer toward achieving the remarkable feat last week by taking Galatasaray apart at the Bernabeu, and if they can score even once in Turkey tonight, it will leave their opponents needing five goals. Given Real have only been shut-out four times this season, not since early February and never in Europe, that looks to be an unlikely scenario to say the least. Galatasaray should also be concerned by the fact their opponents warmed up for this game by destroying Levante 5-1 at the weekend.
Predicted Scoreline
Galatasaray 0-3 Real Madrid Galatasaray are the poorest team left in the competition. They are without their star striker through suspension and Real ruthlessly demonstrated the gulf in class between the pair last week. Don't expect things to be any different this time out, either. Source:
