Glasgow Rangers 2011/2012 Pre-Liquidation Squad: Where Are They Now?

1. Steven Davis

In many ways, Steven Davis was similar to Steven Naismith, in that Rangers fans were frosty to him when he refused to transfer his deal over in the Summer of 2012. However, at least Davis held on long enough so that the Ibrox club were due some money from his new side, Southampton.

Signed on loan from Fulham by Walter Smith in 2008, the midfielder would go on to become Rangers captain after the deal was made permanent, and was always industrious and hard-working in the middle of the park. Much like many of the others listed here, he rarely proved he was good enough to play outside of the domestic game in Scotland consistently, struggling on the European stage, but he has admittedly shone for Southampton since leaving Rangers.

Last year, Davis even signed an extension to his contract with the English Premier League side, and he'll stay at 'The Saints' until at least 2018, unless the club receives a transfer bid. Speaking recently, Steven Davis said he had regrets over the way his Rangers career ended.
