Worlda League
Our last attempt at an all-conquering solution, then - albeit a radical one - is to move away from Europe entirely, and turn the Europa League into a Worlda League. There are already similar competitions to the EL in other continents - the CAF Confederations Cup, the CONMEBOL Copa Sudamericana, and the AFC Cup - which arguably would benefit from the exposure of European football. Logistically, this is highly unlikely to be seriously considered; perhaps the most we can hope for is a competition similar to the Club World Cup, where the winners of each continent's second-tier competition face each other in a neutral country. With the disdain that Europe considers the CWC, however, it's hard to say what this would really achieve. What do you think should be done? Leave your suggestions in the comments below.
