The Premier League has seen some technically gifted players since its inception, but very few have been at the level of Paul Scholes. For years he was the talisman of so many Manchester United squads, scoring a plethora of goals and laying on plenty more for his teammates. The fact that Sir Alex Ferguson brought in so many players who could've taken over from Scholes in the middle of the park but were unable to usurp him is a testament to his abilities as a player. Hell, even when he returned from retirement a few years ago to help United out he managed to do some damage. Simply one of the best to ever play for one of England's most successful clubs.
