I think that we would all agree that Liverpool have performed better than expected in the Premier League this season. However, I think most of us also accept that the Reds are still very much a work in progress and its probably too early to discuss them winning the title this season. As a lot of people have pointed out, they are likely to see qualifying for the Champions League as a big step forward, and a logical piece of progress before having a real go at winning the Premier League title. At the time of writing, Brendan Rodgers team sit fourth in the EPL with a five point advantage over fifth place Tottenham. However, the focus here is not on this season, but rather their prospect of success next season; somewhat based on their achievements over the course of this season. Achievements such as the fact that they are currently the leading EPL goalscorers with 70 scored from 27 matches this season.
