The Sun are reporting that Liverpool will lodge a £10 million transfer bid to take 22-year old Nigerian winger Moses Simon to Anfield.

Simon only has one year left on his current contract at Belgian First Division A side Gent, and it's understood that he's available for a cut price. The only potential stumbling block for Liverpool is that both Newcastle and Brighton are also interested in his services, but Jürgen Klopp's outfit should still lead the chase for his signature.

£10 million isn't a great deal of money in today's market, especially for a Premier League side like Liverpool.

The player, a speedy wide man who is set to miss out on a place in Nigeria's 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, would therefore be a bargain at that price.

Before suffering a hip injury towards the end of the season, Simon had scored six goals in the Belgian top flight, and he'd offer a nice alternative for other Anfield forwards like Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mané as Liverpool bid to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
