According to reports in Spain, the Reds are keen to kick-start negotiations with La Liga outfit Granada in an effort to beat Everton to be punch for the Brazilian. Siqueira has a £21 million release clause but the Spanish side are willing to accept a cut-price bid of around £8 million. €œI had a very good offer from Valencia last year and the club decided not to sell me. "I simply told the club's president that if there is another offer this year, that he should let me make my dream of playing for a big European club come true. "He said yes, that he would help me. And this is what's going on. If the offers that are coming are good for the club and for me, I think it's the right moment to sell me."
Liverpool are in the market for a new left-back this summer with manager Brendan Rodgers looking to bring in someone who can provide competition for Jose Enrique. But Siqueira, who only has two years of his contract left to run, has also earned him interest from a number of the continent's leading clubs thanks to a series of impressive performances, with Real Madrid keen on the player. And Los Blancos could, along with Everton, rival the Reds for the defender's signature this summer. Siqueira scored an audacious penalty against Real's rivals Barcelona last season.
