7. Ashley Williams
One player who would bring both experience and leadership to the Liverpool backline is Swansea's Ashley Williams. Williams has been one of Swansea's most consistant performers since their promotion to the Premier League. He has worked with Rodgers before so will be used to his syle of football. Also, considering he already plays in the Premier League, he won't need as much time to settle in as a foreign player would. Replacing Jamie Carragher's leadership will be one of Rodgers toughest tasks this Summer and Williams has shown that he is an able leader on the football pitch and is the current captain of the Welsh national team. Despite his age, Williams may be a player that Rodgers looks to to try and strengthen his defence.
