With Glen Johnson finally set to depart the club at the end of the season when his contract expires, a quality right-back will be a priority for Liverpool this summer.
Jon Flanagan, Javier Manquillo and Andre Wisdom have time on their side to develop, but Liverpool need to plan for the present - and snapping up Daryl Janmaat would be a real coup.
Janmaat is primarily a right back, but has also been deployed as a wing-back in the past for his national side, Holland, under then-manager Louis Van Gaal. This versatility would make him a great fit as Rodgers has regularly opted for wing-backs this season in a 3-4-3 formation.
The Dutchman is also one of the Premier Leagues most creative defenders having contributed six assists in 31 games this season in a struggling Newcastle side who've found scoring difficult to say the least.
