2. Victor Valdes - Barcelona
Perhaps the most unrealistic option because of his stature within world football and his success with one of the best teams ever assembled but Victor Valdes would probably be the best alternative of the lot. A well established and well respected goalkeeper, Valdes has helped Barcelona to 5 La Liga Titles, 3 Champions Leagues and countless Spanish Cups and Super Cups. He would bring a wealth of experience to the team and would be able to provide much needed stability to Liverpool's back line and would become a role model for the club's younger players. This transfer is not quite as far-fetched as it sounds, as Valdes is currently refusing to sign a new contract and
the Daily Mail is reporting that he plans to leave the club. Arsenal have already been linked with a move for the stopper, who is quoted as saying he wants to experience a new culture and has earmarked England as his destination, so Liverpool might face a fight for him, but it would definitely be one worth taking on.
