1. Julio Cesar - QPR
Many people were surprised when the Brazilian International 'keeper signed for Queens Park Rangers at the start of the season and even more will be surprised if he remains at Loftus Road should they get relegated. Despite Rangers' miserable campaign so far, Cesar has shown that he is still a goalkeeper at the top of his game, which was emphasised when he was picked between the sticks for Brazil's friendly against England at Wembley. He is an agile and commanding players who is far too good for the bottom half of the Premier League, let alone the Championship; which is why he should be looking to move on at the end of the season. Like Valdes, Cesar would offer Liverpool and safe, reliable and experienced pair of hands and would guarantee stability in the goalkeeping position, a virtue that has been in place with Reina for so long. Money is a stumbling block here though because Cesar would command very high wages and as QPR's owner, Tony Fernandes, is a shrewd businessman he would also demand a high transfer fee, possibly ensuring that Liverpool cannot compete with richer teams for his signature. However, if Liverpool are clever with their bargaining they could get themselves a real gem of a 'keeper in Cesar. Do you think Liverpool need to replace Reina? Who would you sign?
