Liverpool Transfers: 6 Goalkeepers To Replace Lorius Karius

3. Joe Hart (Manchester City)

Joe Hart shares many of the same positives as Jack Butland. Previously linked with Liverpool before eventually moving on loan first to Torino and then West Ham, the Manchester City goalkeeper has tonnes of experience, both in the Premier League and internationally, and is likely to be looking for a new club in the summer.

Coming off the back of a disappointing World Cup snub, Hart will be looking for a new club to re-invigorate his international career, and a No.1 position at Liverpool would be perfect. While he has had his troubles and criticisms in the past, he is still a solid goalkeeper.

When comparing Hart to Butland, the former may not have youth on his side, but when considering the cost of each, the former England No.1 begins to look a much more attractive prospect. While Hart will not necessarily come cheap, his age and recent form will likely demand a lot less than Stoke will be asking for Butland.

Liverpool are no strangers to bringing players in from Manchester City, signing James Milner from The Citizens in 2015. If Hart's potential transfer turned out to be half as successful as Milner's, then Jürgen Klopp would be a very happy man.
