The match is screening live on ESPN in the UK. Maxi Rodriguez should make his return to the Liverpool side having been out since the fourth round victory over Manchester United last month with a foot injury. Kenny Dalglish has hinted in the pre-match build up that he is likely to field young defenders Jack Robinson and Joe Flanagan as his players have been involved in so many fixtures lately. It is unknown whether Dalglish will field Luis Suarez after the week he has endured. For Brighton, in-form winger Will Buckley returns after being a doubt since he missed the 2-2 draw against Millwall on Tuesday. Seagulls boss Gus Poyet should also have Spanish international Vicente Rodriguez available for selection, though he will undergo a late fitness test. Midfielder Gary Dicker, sidelined for the past few weeks with a fractured fibula, defender Tommy Elphick (Achilles) are still missing whilst midfielder Matt Sparrow completes the final game of his three-match suspension.
