Man City Transfer News: AC Milan Closing In On £10 Million Carlos Tevez

Daily Star. The Rossoneri have made the Argentinian one of their main transfer targets this summer and want him to link up again with ex-teammate Mario Balotelli at the San Siro. Tevez, 29, is about to enter the final year of his £200,000-per-week contract at the Etihad, and City are ready to cash in on him. Milan are understood to have offered the forward a three-year deal worth £5 million-a-season, and his departure would likely trigger a more concerted effort by the deposed Premier League champions to sign Napoli star Edinson Cavani, 26. The Uruguayan marksman has been identified as City's top transfer target this summer but he is also wanted by domestic rivals Chelsea as well as Real Madrid. And the Spanish giants appear to have hijacked his move to England with reports that Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane has "held talks" with the player's father. New City boss Manuel Pellegrini is also desperate to sign Isco from former club Malaga, but the Citizens could be set for more disappointment there, too, with the 21-year old reluctant to leave Spain prior to a World Cup year and similarly keen on a Madrid move.
