Man City Transfer News: Swansea's Scott Sinclair £5 Million Bid?

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is considering making a shock move for Swansea and Team GB winger Scott Sinclair.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is considering making a shock move for Swansea and Team GB winger Scott Sinclair, according to a report in The Mirror. The former Chelsea youngster, now 23, has been stalling on a new contract at the Swans after reported interest from the Premier League champions and also from the likes of Liverpool, Fulham and Aston Villa. Mancini is looking to add some more pace to his side and is hoping to offload Sunderland target Adam Johnson to fund the signing of a new winger. He has already enquired about Arsenal's Theo Walcott who similarly only has one year left to run on his contract but sees Sinclair as a cheaper alternative, perhaps available for as little as £5 million. City would make Sinclair an offer of £60,000 a week salary, treble what he currently earns at the Welsh based Premier League side. Sinclair has made 80 appearances for the Swans since joining them in 2010 when they were a Championship side and has scored 27 times. He has also played at all England youth team levels and has played a part in Team GB's Olympics campaign which came to a crashing halt last night when they were knocked out of the competition by South Korea on penalties in Quarter-Finals.
