This is a team that made history, prior to United winning the double that year only 3 other teams in the post war era had ever won the double of league title and FA Cup (Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool). It was therefore a groundbreaking team as well as a swashbuckling side, including the likes of Roy Keane, Andrei Kanchelskis, Ryan Giggs, Eric Cantona, Mark Hughes and Lee Sharpe. Their success and style of play were a fitting tribute to Sir Matt Busby who passed away in 1994. United do not really play with the same seemingly wild abandon as they did in the early years of the Premier League era. The game has changed a lot in the relatively short time that has passed since the first Premiership season and watching the games from this period now still gives me a tremendous sense of excitement - this was a truly exhilarating side to watch.
