Man Utd 2-0 Swansea - 5 Reasons Reds Can Improve Under David Moyes

3. Players To Return From Injury

Not only did the season start as a baptism of fire for David Moyes, but the United boss has also struggled with injuries to key players throughout the course of the campaign. Top scorer last season Robin van Persie has only played once since November 10, for example, while the influential Wayne Rooney has been limited to sporadic appearances. New signing Marouane Fellaini isn't expected back until the end of February after undergoing a wrist operation, Nani is out indefinitely with a hamstring injury and Ashley Young has an unknown return date after suffering a shoulder injury. All of this combines to give Moyes very limited options in the XI he is able to send out on a weekly basis and this has certainly had a direct effect on recent results. Once these players start to come back into the side, Rooney and van Persie in particular, United should be able to press on over the coming months.
