Man Utd: 5 Games That Will Define Their Season

4. Chelsea Away (EPL 19/01/2014)

This game in the Premier League is not only a tough task because of who it's against, but also because the Blues are on a similar poor run of form. Jose Mourinho's return has as yet not gone according to plan, and his side currently sit in third place, four points off league leaders Arsenal. Whilst this is not a disaster, the lack of good performances from the former champions is what has stood out most this season. The Blues have lost to Newcastle, drawn at home with West Brom, fortuitously it has to be said, and have been far from convincing in the Champions League. This makes the clash with them early in the new year quite a crunch match, and might not even be one to decide the title as has been the case many times in the past, but instead could be a fight for the top four. Whilst the season is made up of 38 games in the league, big games like this can easily become vital, and any points picked up at Stamford Bridge could be a big statement of intent from Moyes' side. Whatever happens, we will be looking for something a bit more enticing than the coma-inducing 0-0 draw that bored fans earlier in the season.
