Man Utd: David Beckham's 5 Best Ever Moments As A Red Devil

3. Winning The Premier League On Home Soil - May 1999

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORf5lQETrO8 1999 was a glorious season for Manchester United. It was one that yielded the unprecedented treble of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League, but the Red Devils had to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in two of those competitions. While the obvious example of Bayern Munich leading United 1-0 up until the 90th minute stands out, the Reds also came close to blowing their chances in the Premier League that season, too. United had to beat Tottenham on the final day of the season in 1999 to clinch the Premier League with Arsenal snapping away at their heels in second place. The Gunners won their game at home to Aston Villa 1-0 to do their part on a nerve-shredding final day, while United went down 1-0 to a Les Ferdinand goal. When the chips are down, the very best players often turn up and that's exactly what Beckham did with a sublime equaliser from the edge of the penalty area to tie proceedings at 1-1. A goal from Andy Cole sealed a 2-1 win - and United's fifth championship in seven years - as the Reds won the title on home soil for the first time since the days of Sir Matt Busby.
