2. His Goal Against Liverpool, and Other Big Teams

Park Ji-Sung was very much a player for the big occasions, and as such was trusted by Sir Alex Ferguson whenever a crunch game against a big rival came along. Ferguson was rewarded in selecting the Korean for the big games with a string of critical goals, like the one early in the 2008/09 season against Chelsea when, with the score locked at 0-0, Park fired past Petr Cech to give his side the lead. Chelsea would go on to claw back a draw, but Park's contribution didn't go amiss, being named man of the match at full-time. Another big goal came against Liverpool a year later, in 2010. Park cemented his reputation of scoring in the big games when he sent in a diving header against the Anfield giants, which proved to be the winning goal. Again, this wasn't enough for glory, as we lost out on the title to Chelsea that year, but it's another example of Park stepping up when it mattered most, as he would one more time a year later...
