Man Utd Transfer News: £25 Million Bid For Cesc Fabregas?

Daily Mail. Moyes is weighing up a bid for the £25 million-rated midfielder having been made aware of Barcelona's willingness to sell the former Arsenal captain but intriguingly, Manchester City are also interested. Fabregas spent eight years in North London under Arsene Wenger before moving to boyhood club Barcelona in 2011, and as part of that deal, the Gunners were given first refusal should the Catalans ever be willing to sell. But Moyes is a long-term admirer of the 26-year old and even tried to bring him to Everton on loan during the player's formative days in England. The Scotsman has identified midfield as the one area of the field most in need of improvement at Old Trafford and has also been looking at Thiago Alcantara and PSV Eindhoven skipper Kevin Strootman. Man City meanwhile will be looking to bolster their attacking options and view Fabregas as the ideal player. Incoming manager Manuel Pellegrini is keen on bringing in La Liga talent when he takes charge at the Etihad with Malaga star Isco also believed to be a target. Fabregas is viewed by some as the idea replacement for the retired Paul Scholes. The Spanish international was the main creative force when he was at Arsenal. Between 2006€“07 and 2010€“11, he created the most chances in the top-division leagues of England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France.
