Man Utd Transfer News: Galatasaray's £6 Million Bid For Nani Rejected

Goal.com, Manchester United have rejected Galatasaray€™s £6 million bid for Portuguese winger Nani. The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for several months with his contract set to expire next summer, where he could then leave on a free transfer. Despite this, United have rejected a £6 million bid from Turkish giants Galatasaray but the club have reportedly suggested they would accept an offer of around £8.5 million. Nani signed for The Red Devils in 2007 and despite his increasingly inconsistent form, he has still attracted regular interest from several of Europe's biggest teams, including big-spenders Monaco. Galatasaray chairman Unal Aysal confirmed that they have made a bid for Nani, but were unsuccessful:

"We offered 7 million euros (£6m) for him. But they didn't accept. We can't give more than this.€
He added:
"We are not going to follow Nani anymore. We can't give more than 7 million euros for him. They want 10 million euros (£8.5m). Because of this he is not on our transfer list anymore."
Nani has been part of several trophy-winning United sides, lifting the Premier League title on four occasions, the League Cup in 2008 as well as the Champions League in Moscow 2008. Whilst United€™s number 17 has had a lot of success at the club, his recent disappointing performances as well as the frustration with a lack of desire has led many fans to question Nani€™s status at the club.
