5. Jordi Alba
A signing for Manchester United who could surpass Patrice Evras performances is Barcelona defender, Jordi Alba. The 23-year-old could well be the future of Manchester United and despite the Red Devils having the likes of Fabio Da Sliva and Alexander Buttner in the squad, Alba would give United more experience should Evra depart. The Spaniard would fit in well at Old Trafford especially with international teammate, David De Gea, in the United goal. The decision to sign Alba and place him in the squad would mean that a language barrier between keeper and left-back wouldn't be an issue. The Barcelona left-back could be the signing of the summer if United secure the defender. At such a young age, Alba has already been part of a title winning side as well as having European national success with Spain, meaning he could easily settled down to Uniteds winning mentality and continue to improve his individual efforts. Alba has only recently
joined Barcelona as the replacement for Eric Abidal, so it is unlikely he will be moving Old Trafford anytime soon.
