The selection of Rafael on this list may raise the eyebrows of some United fans. However, the Brazilians form has seriously dipped over the course of last season. He is quickly becoming a liability, something Van Gaal can not afford when he takes over. Red cards are the main concern when it comes to Rafeal. The Brazilian will still be haunted by his dismissal during Uniteds Champions League quarter-final defeat to Bayern Munich in 2010. Munich would go on to win the tie and make the final. Rafeals potential saving grace is his age. At just 23-years-old there is still time for him to improve. But, having just finished 7th, United cannot afford another season of mediocrity. The club are allegedly looking into a bid for Seamus Coleman and if the Everton man were to arrive, it could spell the end of Rafaels time at Old Trafford.
