Man Utd Transfers: Louis van Gaal To Lodge Bid For Felipe Anderson

The Red Devils are set to spend Di Maria transfer fund on Felipe Anderson and Stefan De Vrij.

Manchester United are set to launch a £42.5 million bid on Lazio stars Felipe Anderson and Stefan De Vrij, according to The Express.

The Seria A club rejected the Red Devils' initial double-raid but reports from Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera who claim the side is now ready to launch a fresh offer.

Louis van Gaal has already signed five players this summer but only Matteo Darmain is a defensive option. Stefan De Vrij is one of the Man United boss' preferred transfer options but Lazio rejected an £18 million bid for the 23-year-old.

United also bid £24.5m for Anderson, who would be a fantastic replacement for Angel Di Maria who is on the verge of signing for Paris Saint-Germain.

Anderson was a huge factor in the Biancocelesti finishing third last season and clinching a spot in the Champions League for the first time since 2007-08.

The 22-year-old scored 11 goals and grabbed seven assists during the season and showcased a fantastic range of ability including pace, vision, workmanship and flair.

The Red Devils have had bids for Sergio Ramos rejected by Real Madrid respectively and reports from Spain state that the defender is set to sign a new contract with the club.
