Mauricio Pochettino Expects Much Improved Spurs Against Sunderland

The Argentinian boss insists Spurs will be a much better side after Liverpool loss.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino expects dramatic improvements from his side against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, after they were easily beaten 3-0 at home by Liverpool prior to the international break. Spurs had started the season with successive wins against West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground and against Queens Park Rangers at White Hart Lane - without conceding a goal in the process - but they suffered their competitive defeat of Pochettino's reign against the Reds. It was the familiar case of poor defending that was primarily the cause of the defeat and that is something the new Spurs boss is keen to eradicate quickly in the North East this weekend. Pochettino claims to have watched the Liverpool match more than twenty times in a bid to highlight every error made in a bid to prevent them from occurring again and he had this to say to Spurs TV about the upcoming match:
I think we have a tough game against Sunderland. They are a difficult team, difficult stadium but most important thing is how we are. It's important to be ready and focused in our job, we are still improving under our philosophy, I expect a tough game. It has been a difficult two weeks, but we are ready to play, to make a good game. We expect to be better and win the three points.
Sunderland have earned two draws in the Premier League so far - against West Bromwich Albion and Manchester United respectively - but lost to Queens Park Rangers to give them a current tally of two points from three games in comparison to Spurs' six. Spurs will be expected to win the game by most people, but it certainly won't be an easy task, as Pochettino has highlighted. Do you think Spurs will be much improved at the Stadium of Light?
