11. Papiss Cisse (Replaced By Adam Armstrong) - 6/10

It was abundantly clear once more than Papiss Cisse was playing for his Newcastle United future. The striker was full of running and was blatantly trying to get more involved with some of the intricate passing moves that the team were putting together, something he normally stays away from. The 30-year-old didn't have too many chances but after seeing a couple fail to trouble the Atlas goal, he had a header brilliantly saved by keeper Miguel Pinto when a spot of goal line technology could have come to Untied's aid.

Adam Armstrong - 4/10

A couple of flashes but nothing much more from the youngster, who will surely be heading out on loan once United sign a more experienced striker or two. One great chance saw the Geordie with acres of room in the box, but as he took his time and looked for 'the bender' he was closed down and the chanced faded away. However, and as is the case for so many youngsters in the squad, it was another first team appearance under the forward's belt which has to be looked on as a positive.
