Sammy Ameobi started the day on the bench in Cardiff City's entertaining 2-2 draw away at Queens Park Rangers. Rangers, who fielded Newcastle target Charlie Austin, took the lead thanks to a goal from Clint Hill before 26-year-old Austin notched a second. Sean Morrison then halved the deficit on 63 minutes before Ameobi was thrown onto the field in place for former Norwich wide man Anthony Pilkington after 82 minutes. Sammy's presence had a positive impact on the game for the Bluebirds as they managed to get that all important equaliser in the last minute of normal time.
