With France having progressed to the last four, they needed some brilliance in order to reach the final - and that came courtesy of Thauvin. The winger netted both of France's goals in a 2-1 semi-final victory over Ghana, and celebrated the winner by picking up the corner flag and pointing it at his teammates.
