Probably the No.1 choice to replace Cabaye, and a player who will perhaps join regardless of the Frenchman's situation, is Remy Cabella. Cabella has been tipped with a move to St James' Park for much of the January transfer window and the Magpies remain keen despite being told by Montpellier's crazed president Louis Nicollin that they will have to fork out £86 MILLION if they want to sign the 23-year-old this month. Cabella is an attacking midfielder renowned for his speed, dribbling abilities and remarkable control on the ball, and has scored 15 goals since breaking into Montpellier's first-team set-up in 2009. With time running out in the winter window for a deal to be struck, it remains to be seen if Cabella will become a Newcastle player before the end of the week.
