No. 9: New York Jets
The pick: Barkevious Mingo, LB, LSU The first of two picks for the other team in New York, who could be in some trouble in 2012. The team just traded away their best player in Darrell Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week, which means they are a definite rebuilding team again. Some even feel that this team could be as lousy as a 2-14 or 3-13 team, especially if Mark Sanchez is still the quarterback. Either way, Rex Ryan is still in an aggressive defensive mindset and will look to add a pass rusher to the bunch, which is why Mingo isn't going any further than number 9. Mingo can play at defensive end, and outside linebacker, similar to what DeMarcus Ware does for the Dallas Cowboys. LSU didn't use him that much as a pass rusher, but that doesn't mean Ryan won't. Ryan loves play-makers on defense and many see Mingo as that kind of player in the NFL, which his head coach will immediately love as a pro. Jets fans will have to hope that Mingo won't be like another Vernon Gholston.
