NFL Draft 2013: Full Mock Draft Of The First Round

No. 13: New York Jets

Tavon AustinThe pick: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia This is the pick that they acquired in the Darrelle Revis trade from the Buccaneers, and they should use it on offense to get Mark Sanchez some help. When Santonio Holmes went down for the season with an injury, it really limited the teams deep-threat options. Stephen Hill is a threat, but he's still developing. Look for the Jets to have a major interest in Tavon Austin, who can give them a receiver with home-run ability as a play-maker down the field. Austin is a combination of DeSean Jackson and Steve Smith with killer speed and is dynamic once the ball is in his hands. Some have felt that once he's created some open space for himself, he can take it to the house at any time because nobody could catch him if it came down to a foot race. With a team that has very little to be excited for, Austin could give them that needed jolt.
