NFL Fantasy Football Draft: 10 Sleepers You Must Consider

6. RB Sleeper - Shane Vereen, New York Giants (Yahoo Rank 102, ESPN Rank 80)

On the surface, the New York Giants backfield looks like a three-headed monster. Incumbent starter Rashad Jennings looks like he€™d handle the early-down work, and second-year player Andre Williams out of Boston College will handle the short yardage and goal line work. So how does Vereen fit into this? Vereen is a special type of player who is just as much a receiver as he is a running back. He was utilized in the passing game significantly in New England. The Giants offense does like to check the ball down to the running back on third down. Their only problem was that they had a washed-up Peyton Hillis as the third down back. Vereen is a significant upgrade in what can be a high-powered offense. Vereen is a poor man€™s CJ Spiller, especially in PPR leagues. He might be able to get you the same amount of production as Spiller, but at a fraction of the draft-day price.
