1. San Francisco 49ers
Last year's runners up are the favorites heading into the 2013 season as the odds-on favorite to win the Super Bowl. Offensively, they are loaded with talent. Colin Kaepernick, Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree, Vernon Davis. Then they got even better when they traded with the Baltimore Ravens to land wide receiver Anquan Boldin, who is as tough as they come. Defensively, they are probably the best unit in the entire league with Patrick Willis NaVarro Bowman, Ahmad Brooks and Aldon Smith. Then they got even more fire power by landing Nnamdi Asomugha from the Philadelphia Eagles on a prove-it one-year deal and drafted Eric Reid out of LSU. Before Jim Harbaugh got to San Francisco, the culture of the 49ers wasn't the best. But ever since his arrival in 2011, the 49ers have been the class of the NFC. In 2011, they got to the NFC Championship Game, but lost to the Giants. In 2012, they got to Super Bowl XLVII, but lost to the Ravens. Could they complete the final step in Harbaugh's third season by winning the Lombardi Trophy? The odds right now are on their side to do so.
