4. Simon Cox's Purple Patch Continues
Republic of Ireland forward Cox scored his third goal in as many Championship games against Reading. This was another typical all round grafting performance from him as he set up Henderson for the Forest equalizer. Hard work in attack is certainly a hallmark of this Reds team with Jamie Mackie putting a shift in wide right too he assisted Cox's goal before half time. If only the players behind them did the same.
3. Billy Davies Has fullback problems
"Their fullbacks were struggling, so it made sense to get down the sides." A canny assessment of what Nigel Adkins got his team to do on their visit to the City Ground. Left back in particular has been a long-term problem for Forest. Club captain Chris Cohen has been playing there because of the lack of options, but will now miss the rest of the campaign with a
cruciate knee ligament injury. Versatile player Greg Halford was only fit for the bench and Gonzalo Jara found himself deployed in midfield, so Eric Lichaj and Dan Harding got the nod out wide for the hosts. This pair must take their share of the blame for two of Reading's three goals.
