Predicted Premier League Table 2013-14

5th. Arsenal

Liverpool and Tottenham are both fighting to keep their best player this summer, and Arsenal fans will know that feeling. Despite Arsenal€™s better players looking likely to stay, it has still been another frustrating transfer window for Arsenal fans. It looked as if they would sign Gonzalo Higuain but that never materialised. Then they went big for Luis Suarez but at this moment in time, it looks like they€™ll miss out on him too. Now you€™re left wondering; who€™s left? Even if Arsenal did sign Suarez, I don€™t think that would turn them into title contenders. They had Robin Van Persie previously, who scored 30 goals a season, and they weren€™t title contenders then. They need more than just a striker to challenge Chelsea, City and United. A goalkeeper, central defender, holding midfielder and striker of high quality might turn Arsenal into title contenders, but it looks unlikely that they will sign players in those positions this summer. At this moment in time, I have Arsenal to miss out on the Champions League. That is purely because right now, Tottenham have a better squad. Tottenham have signed well and Arsenal haven€™t. Although, I know it is foolish to write off Arsenal for the top four. People have done it many times before and they€™ve put a run together and finished fourth. They probably will finish fourth again, especially if they do sign some quality players. But, right now, before they€™ve signed anyone substantial, I would say Tottenham look better placed than Arsenal. Arsenal are more than capable of finishing fourth though, they know how to and have for the last 16 seasons.
