Predicting Final Premier League 2017/18 Table After Transfer Deadline

5. Liverpool

Arsenal v Chelsea - Premier League Mesut Ozil
New Balance/Liverpool FC

It is baffling that Jurgen Klopp has allowed another transfer window to pass without signing a commanding centre-back. Southampton kept Virgil van Dijk under lock and key, but at no point did the Reds move on to other targets.

New boy Mohamed Salah has started exceptionally well and, alongside Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, forms the most devastating attack in the division.

Keeping hold of Philippe Coutinho amidst strong interest from Barcelona is also a big boost, but defensive vulnerabilities will continue to be their undoing. A top-four challenge is the best that they can hope for, and even that may be too much.
