Predicting Final Premier League 2017/18 Table After Transfer Deadline

14. Bournemouth

Eddie Howe was decisive with his early summer business, highlighting a trio of former Bournemouth players as his primary targets, and delivering on each one.

Asmir Begovic and Nathan Ake have been freed from their Chelsea prisons and should improve Howe’s first XI. Jermain Defoe, who bagged 15 for relegated Sunderland last season, is a guarantee of goals when he reaches match fitness.

They finished ninth in 2016-17, but only two points from 13th. There have been no outgoings of note, but their early-season form suggests that the Cherries might find themselves at the bottom of the congested mid-table this year.
