Predicting Final Premier League 2017/18 Table After Transfer Deadline

15. Burnley

After securing their Premier League status for the first time, Burnley have had to contend with losing two of their best players – Michael Keane and Andre Gray.

Sean Dyche has reinvested £11m of what was recouped on experience – Jack Cork, Jonathan Walters, and Phil Bardsley – which he hopes will help the Clarets pick up more points on the road than the measly seven they managed last term.

One of his untested signings at this level could hold the key to Burnley’s fortunes. Chris Wood, a £15m capture from Leeds United, must reach double figures to share the load with Sam Vokes. He hit 27 in his Championship farewell. That is no guarantee, but he opened his account to salvage a draw against Tottenham at Wembley, and should chip in enough to keep Burnley clear of trouble.
