Premier League: 12 Newly Promoted Players To Watch Out For

Wildcard: Heurelho Gomes

Wild by name, wild by nature. Avid watchers of Premier League football will remember the gangly Brazilian stopper for his gaffes and bloopers, rather than his ability to make game-changing saves. The 34-year old has dramatically improved, however, during his time in the Championship. Gomes established himself as No. 1 choice goalkeeper in the squad after a series of convincing and demanding displays, and played 44 times last season for a side who conceded 50 goals. Typically, newly promoted sides are bombarded by the so-called big boys of the division, meaning Gomes will have to be on top form at all times in order to make sure no disastrous (yet incredibly funny) mistakes creep back into his game.
