Premier League Transfers: 10 Championship Players Teams Should Buy

7. Ollie Watkins (Brentford)

He's only spent one season in the Championship but that was all Ollie Watkins needed to shine. The young Brentford forward was one of the division's best young players last year. Having joined the side for less than £2 million, he went on to prove himself a bargain buy, scoring 10 goals in 43 Championship appearances.

Basing his playstyle on French legend Thierry Henry, Watkins can play in various positions around the forward line, seeming to be most effective as an inside forward on the left hand side, and has drawn interest from a few Premier League clubs, including Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.

On paper, he'd be an asset to either team, adding flair and attacking strength to any side he joins and having a lot of potential for improvement in the years to come. Voted the EFL Young Player of the Year in the 2016-17 season, Watkins is only going to get better. He took to the Championship with astonishing ease and could be good enough to make the leap to the Premier League next season.
