Premier League Transfers: 10 Underrated Players Who Should Move Clubs
3. Abdoulaye Doucouré (Watford)
A graduate of the esteemed Rennes academy in France, Abdoulaye Doucouré was one of Watford's very best players last season. The French youth international scored 7 goals in 37 Premier League appearances, winning the club's Player of the Season award and often turning up in the big games, showing no fear against top tier sides.
With all the talents of a box-to-box midfielder, Doucouré has been used in various positions throughout his career. Such is his versatility, he was even used as a centre forward a couple of times with Rennes, but is best-suited to a free-roaming role in the middle of the park, allowed to express all of his defensive and offensive abilities.
Smart with his passing and always eager to help out at both ends of the pitch, Doucouré is the ideal all-round midfielder that every coach loves to have in their squad. His form, like Watford's in general, trailed off late on last season, but if he can recapture the spark he had 12 months ago, it wouldn't be surprising to see him linked with a top six team.
