Ranking Every Liverpool Transfer Under Jürgen Klopp

3. Sadio Mané

Easily the best dribbler in the Reds squad, and one of the best in the world, Mané has dropped players on their asses and fans' jaws on the floor for three years now. Add to that his borderline genius movement and his natural ability to make the goal-alert of the referee's watch go off, and no doubt could be left in your mind as to why he's amongst the best forwards on the planet.

Now many Liverpool fans will admit this, but when he was first signed in 2017, disappointment was the overwhelming feeling in the fanbase. We wanted Götze, Reus or Draxler. Not yet another player from Southampton. Three seasons of Mané later, and the question on every Liverpool fan's lip can only be: "What the hell's a Götze?"

After falling a bit under the radar last season, in the shadow of Salah and Firmino's earth-shaking seasons, Mané reclaimed his superstar status in 2018-2019, scoring 26 in all competitions (just one fewer than Salah), taking home the Premier League Golden Boot, and being in fact the only member of the front three to feature in UEFA's Champions League Squad of the Season as well as in the PFA's Player of the Year shortlist.

If he can light the CAN on fire (ideally win it) and produce a strong start to next season, Mané could do what Eto'o, Drogba and Touré couldn't, and get his hands on that shiny golden ball...
