Lorik Cana was the man-machine for whom this shirt was tailored. The Albanian's solo season on Wearside left a lasting impression, and he came along with a smart kit to follow. The Boylesports logo went super-sized, but aside from that, Umbro held up their end of the bargain with a very tidy shirt. The collar was different, and the trim was red and white, while the stripes reached all around the shirt. However, the key feature of the shirt was the interesting white and gold shield surrounding the badge, along with the innovative imprint of the crest pressed into the shirt.
