Reading vs Man City - Team News, Match Preview & Likely Line-Ups

Match Preview

This season is becoming more and more disastrous with each passing week for Manchester City and there must be a feeling within the dressing room that it cannot end soon enough. Saturday's embarrassing defeat to Wigan in the FA Cup Final means the ex-Champions have absolutely nothing to play for as the campaign draws to its conclusion on Sunday, and they will finish up empty handed. Probably not what City's billionaire Sheikh investors envisaged when they sank their fortunes into the club back in 2008 and but one reason why Roberto Mancini now finds himself out of work. And there will be a similar feeling of the season being a week too long for tonight's opponents Reading, also, who are long-since relegated from the division and equally have nothing to play for. This then could end up being a damp squib with subdued atmospheres expected in both camps prior to kick off. For both sides, this season will go down as one that promised so much and yet delivered so little, and the plans for next season, both in terms of Champions League and Championship football, will soon need addressing.
