Southampton 0-3 Chelsea: Premier League Player Ratings

Jose Mourinho's inspired substitution saw Chelsea sink Southampton at St Marys and keep hot on the heels of Premier League leaders Arsenal. Oscar made goals for Fernando Torres and Willian before scoring himself in the second half. Saints coach Mauricio Pochettino made two alterations after losing at Everton last time out. Youngster James Ward-Prowse and target man Rickie Lambert made way for Gaston Ramirez and Morgan Schneiderlin, who returned from suspension. Blues boss Jose Mourinho meanwhile had a combination of injuries and bans to contend with. He made six changes in total from the home win over Liverpool. Branislav Ivanovic and Frank Lampard were casualties of that match whilst David Luiz picked up a fifth yellow card and had to sit this one out. Samuel Eto'o, Oscar and Willian got rests with starts for Ashley Cole, Juan Mata, John Obi Mikel, Ramires, Andre Schurrle and Torres at St Marys. Czech defender Tomas Kalas got into the matchday squad as a substitute. Hosts Southampton lost highly-rated left back Luke Shaw to injury at half time, ironically against one of his potential suitors. Who impressed the WhatCulture sports team on the South Coast though?
