5. New Stars Emerging
Last season, new signings such as Hugo Lloris, Mousa Dembele and, in particular, Jan Vertonghen emerged as Spurs newest stars, whilst Gareth Bale obvious took his football to new levels. This season, Spurs expect breakout seasons from a number of youngsters (step forward Tom Carroll and Andros Townsend), while new signings like Paulinho and Nacer Chadli will be watched with eager anticipation by the Spurs faithful. Having been only a point shy of Champions League qualification last season, new found first team strength and depth could be the difference between qualifying and not qualifying again this season, so it is very important - and indeed expected - that the weight is taken off Gareth Bale's shoulders as new players grab games by the scruff of the neck and prove their worth.
